Philosophy: Our philosophy is to provide a learning environment that teaches students proper technique, performance showmanship and outstanding confidence. We encourage students to learn dance vocabulary as well as how to execute various steps and perform a variety of dance routines. In order to maintain these goals, our instructors give positive encouragement and show individual attention while maintaining an disciplined and educational class environment.
Performances: Divine Dance Academy prepares for formal year production every other year. On the off years, students preform dance demonstrations also known as informal recitals. Students may audition for feature parts as a solo duet, or trio for the formal year productions. Auditioning for feature parts promotes technique, showmanship and confidence while teaching leadership skills by taking responsibility to master feature part dances.
Competition: Our studio is proud to give students the option to compete in competitions and be a part of the Divine Dance Academy competition team. We attend three/four local spring dance competitions and dancers may also perform their competition routines at the end of the year performances.
