Avery Elyse Ballard has grown up in the Houston dance and theatre world. She trained with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts for twelve years getting to work under world class instructors such as Luis Fuente, Lynette Mason Gregg, Misha Bart, Paige Wheat, Heather Steele, Cara Shanks, Caitlin Cannon Fagan, and Xavier Alcala Herrera. Avery danced with Bay Area Houston Balletand Theatre for ten seasons, performing in many productions such as The Nutcracker, Dracula and Cinderella. She also had the opportunity to perform in various musicals through the RAFA/BAHBT programs such as Hairspray (Penny), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Shrek the Musical (Fiona), Singing in the Rain (Lina Lamont) and Once Upon a Mattress (Winnifred), working with directors such as Kevin Cahoon, Michael Tapley, Travis Coombs and Dontee Kiehn. Avery attended Clear Springs High School from 2012-2016 and was actively involved in both her choir and theatre programs. She was involved in her musicals all four years both as a member of the cast, but also as the dance captain.
