About Us

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide a learning environment that teaches students proper technique, performance showmanship, and outstanding confidence. We encourage students to learn dance vocabulary, as well as how to execute various steps and perform a variety of dance routines. In order to maintain these goals, our instructors give positive encouragement and show individual attention, while maintaining a disciplined and educational class environment.

Performances

Divine Dance Arts prepares for formal year productions every other year. On the off years, students perform dance demonstrations, also known as informal recitals. Students may audition for feature parts as a solo, duet, or trio for the formal year productions. Auditioning for feature parts promotes technique, showmanship, and confidence, while teaching leadership skills by taking responsibility to master feature part dances.

Competition

Our studio is proud to give students the option to be a part of the Divine Dance Arts Competition Team. We attend five to six local spring dance competitions. Dancers may also perform their routines at the end of the year performances. Competition is very rewarding and challenges students in their dance development.  Competition is for dancers that have high dance goals and strive to be at the next advanced level. It is about dancers becoming more polished in their technique and confident on stage. Information & forms are included in the Competition Packet.
